The TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre
Peter Madden’s The Unbuilt Return of Interminateopolis, which Otto thought was a diorama of Heaven.
Isn’t a fabulous gallery. One of the better ones in Auckland for children, even though it is way too tactile.
Don’t worry Wallace is notorious for mistreating his art anyway (or more accurately not storing and caring for it to museum standards), years ago the Trust broke one of Jennifer’s works (which they didn’t even own!) so if you get busted for a little accidental touching don’t even start feeling guilty.
Love the new watercolours! When we went to the opening of the Pah homestead there was a woman who had to guard the “offensive” artwork so that children couldn’t see it – she threw herself in front of it every time a child came into the room!
